Raising Hope Climate Conference
At Borgo Laudato Si', Castel Gandolfo in Italy, Laudo Si’ Movement held a three day conference around how to mobilise members of the Catholic Faith to act to protect our environment, or as Pope Leo XIV phrased it, an ecological conversion.
I attended as the event’s visual recorder, scribing the event’s panel talks, keynotes and workshops.
My personal highlights include the moment Pope Leo XIV blessed a piece of Greenlandic glacier in a symbolic gesture, Arnold Schwarzenegger said ‘together we can terminate pollution’, and the reflective silence held morning after Jane Goodall’s passing.
These visual summaries will form LSM’s action plan ahead of COP30. As a bonus, a social media friendly was produced and released each day of the conference - a simple portrait and quote from each day’s most memorable talk.
