Illustrating Visual Summaries for Project Dandelion’s Global Ethical Stocktake, near Rome

In June 2025 I posted what was at the time my proudest project to date, but in October, Project Dandelion came back to me with another event I’m even more honoured to have supported with live illustration, this time at Borgo Laudato Si’ near Rome.

Inspired by the Paris Agreement’s Global Stocktake, Project Dandelion held a dialogue on the climate crisis, bringing together social, cultural, spiritual, business, scientific, and political leaders to deliver a set of civil society contributions to COP30.

Throughout this special morning, I illustrated the emerging themes from the session’s introductions, speeches from Brazil’s Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, and Ireland’s first woman president, Mary Robinson, and symbolic rituals.

Following the event, I created visual summaries from the audio recording and notes of two workshop sessions, where attendees collaboratively answered questions on how reach a green and just future. Throughout these sessions, I spent time with each group, illustrating and listening deeply to participants’ flow of ideas and thoughts.

Each participant had been given a ‘being’ to speak on behalf of in discussions, from glaciers to animals to unborn generations. Through advance discussion with Laura Jessie Cook of Project Dandelion, we agreed that quotes included could be spoken by these beings in the event’s visual summary.

These graphics were all provided in these wide format slides for inclusion in decks to be shown at COP30. For maximum value and visibility for the event, I also provided social media friendly portrait slides, for posting as carousels on Instagram and other platforms.
