Live Event Scribing & Visual Summaries: COP30 Climate Workshops, Italy
Visual Note Taking COP30 Civil Society Contributions
Laudato Si’ Movement, Women, Faith and Climate Network and GreenFaith brought together political, spiritual, scientific, and cultural leaders for a landmark climate dialogue delivering civil society contributions to COP30.
As the event’s live illustrator, I captured real-time insights from discussions, including words by Marina Silva (Brazil’s Minister of the Environment and Climate Change) and Mary Robinson (Ireland’s first female president) alongside symbolic rituals and opening reflections.
Following the live keynotes, I synthesised deep discussions from two interactive workshop sessions focusing on pathways toward a green and just future.
I spent dedicated time with each group during their breakout discussions, translating complex ideas, participant dynamics, and emerging themes into cohesive visual notes.
Each participant represented a non-human or future stakeholder, from glaciers to unborn generations. Through advance strategy with Laura Jessie Cook (Women, Faith and Climate Network), we attributed key quotes directly to these perspective 'beings' within the final visual summaries.
All final infographics were delivered as wide-format presentation slides, designed specifically to anchor slide decks presented during official COP30 proceedings.
I formatted portrait carousel slides to maximise reach and engagement across Instagram and social platforms.
